Sex is something special to be shared between two people who have known each other long enough to know that the time is right and are old enough to cope if everything suddenly falls apart.
But, for when you do decide the time is right, or if you're one of those that won't wait, here are some FACTS that could save you from catching or spreading some of the unpleasant diseases that you could pick up.

HOW DO YOU KNOW THEY'RE TELLING THE TRUTH?
Some people are not responsible and may lie to you about their past, in order to get you into bed. The only way to really protect yourself against STD's and HIV is to wear a condom. This will help protect both of you, not only from HIV, the virus that can lead to AIDS, but also syphilis, gonorrhoea and herpes. Only a condom can help prevent the spread of disease.

BUT HE’S NOT OVER 30 !?
There is a big misconception in the gay community right now that only guys over 30 have AIDs…. That’s just not true! The vast majority of new cases are kids under 20! When you have sex with someone, it’s like having sex with everyone he had sex with! Think about that for a minute….

BUT I'M ONLY GIVING HIM A BLOWJOB.
You can contract AIDs even from giving a blowjob.  Some people think that there is very little risk this way, but no one has said that you CAN'T get it this way.  It's not worth the risk, use a condom when you give him the blow job.  He'll still like it, and so will you.

Women:
Why not wait a little longer? If you decide to have sex, there are many ways to prevent unwanted pregnancy, including the coil, diaphragm and the pill. But these methods will not help you avoid STD's. If you use a condom, you will not only guard against unwanted pregnancy, but will also help to protect yourself from STD's, including genital warts and herpes.

Men:
I know it’s not cool to ask a guy to wear a condom… and I also know the rate of AIDs seems to be dropping. But the fact of the matter is that AIDs kills! That one night stand isn’t worth dying for! Use a condom the first time and everytime!
